Identifying rumours

The project cities are in the process of identifying the main rumors on immigration and cultural diversity.

Sabadell, Getxo, and the island of Tenerife find themselves in the midst of identifying the main rumours surrounding immigration and cultural diversity. They are following a common methodology consisting of conducting in-depth interviews and an online questionnaire directed at a variety of social actors and municipal specialists from a plethora of departments. Thanks to this project rumours identified in each city can be compared to each other as well as those identified in Barcelona as well as ensuing projects like the Basque government’s “Stop the Rumour”. Once cities have collected the result of this identification process, the data collection phase begins, in which all arguments and data that dispel false rumours, generalisations and twisted realities. Once the identification results are available, these will be, in turn, posted on the site under “resources”.
